Blue was chosen as the skin color not to mimic Avatar productions or the musical Blue Man Group, but to demonstrate the contrast between our natural state and masking. People feel the need to mask to protect our, at times overly, sensitive nature. By adorning ourselves with make-up, accessories, and specific clothing; many aim to either build a barrier and/or assemble an illusion of how we want the world to view us."
